Return Policy
Zaanwood Returns & Cancellations Policy
At Zaanwood, we take pride in offering furniture of timeless quality. We want you to love your purchase, so please read our policies carefully before placing an order.
Order Cancellations
- Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement at no charge.
- After 24 hours, orders are submitted directly to our warehouse or manufacturer and become non-cancellable under our supplier agreements.
- To cancel, email sales@zaanwood.com with your name, order number, and reason for cancellation. (No phone cancellations can be accepted.)
- Special orders, custom pieces, layaway, financing orders, and items held for delayed delivery cannot be cancelled.
- Orders stored in our facility longer than 30 days at the customer’s request will incur a $50 storage fee per piece, per month.
Returns
- Eligible returns must be requested within 7 days of delivery or pickup.
- All returned items must be in original condition and original packaging.
- Returns are subject to:
- 35% restocking fee (non-negotiable), and
- round-trip shipping costs (outbound + return), even if your order originally included free shipping.
- Refunds are issued only after items are received and inspected by our receiving team.
- Non-returnable items include:
- Custom or made-to-order furniture
- Non-stock items
- Floor samples
- Items marked Final Sale
Damaged or Defective Items
- Please inspect your furniture at the time of delivery.
- If damage is visible, note “Damaged Upon Arrival” on the delivery slip and take photos immediately.
- Report all damages by emailing sales@zaanwood.com within 24 hours of delivery, including photos.
- If structurally intact, please accept the item; if completely unusable, refuse delivery.
- Zaanwood will coordinate repair or replacement at our discretion. Only items noted as damaged on the delivery slip are eligible.
Fit & Measurements
- Please confirm that your furniture will fit through doorways, stairways, and elevators before ordering.
- Items returned due to sizing or delivery access issues fall under our standard returns policy.
- If an item fits in your room but not through your entryway, a furniture technician may be able to disassemble/reassemble for a fee.
Finish & Material Variations
- Natural variations in wood grain, leather, stone, or finishes are not considered defects.
- Distressed finishes may include intentional marks or imperfections.
- Product images may appear slightly different in person due to lighting and screen settings.
International Orders
- Zaanwood ships throughout the continental U.S. and internationally via freight forwarders.
- For international deliveries, we will deliver your order to your U.S. freight forwarder at no additional charge.
